Tip of the Day: Please don’t stop the music…
It’s all about the tunes baby! By combining music and sport or exercise, our performance is supposed to improve by up to 20%. The psychophysical and ergogenic (performance enhancing) effects of music include improved mood, reduced perceived exertion, increased work output, and dissociation from pain and fatigue. But, it needs to be synchronous, high-tempo music.
Now, I’m sure for most of us this is completely obvious and intuitive, and we probably already use music in that way, but it’s always nice to have science back up the obvious : )
I know for a fact that a very good friend of mine has all the Glee soundtracks. So blast those cheesy tunes and get your Gleek on!
